The new set of officers of the United Architects of the Philippines Regional District C- 2 (UAP-RDC-2) for FY-2020 will take oath on September 11, 2020, at 3:00 pm via zoom live in the virtual presence of UAP National Executive officers.
The event is called “PADAYON” with a theme, “Coping with Uncertainties Through Sustainable Strategies.”
The UAP District C-2 constitutes five (5) local UAP chapters, namely the Bacolod; Negrense; Mt. Kanla-on; Buglas Sur, and Bacolod Azucar.To be inducted are the following.

Ar. Dominic E. Diocson, Committee Chair on Balangkasan, will introduce the Guest of Honor Ar. Robert S. Sac, FUAP, Chairman of Professional Regulation Commission -Board of Architecture for the address.

Induction of District Officers
For the induction rites, Ar. Segundino T. Inumerables, JR., UAP, Outgoing UAP RD C-2 District Director, will deliver a valedictory address in the video. Ar. Jonathan V. Manalad, UAP Secretary-General, will present the RDC-2 Council officers, Ar. Antonio Paciano J. Paranas UAP Vice-President for Area C will act out the Charging, and National President Ar. Renato A. Heray will induct the RDC-2 Council Officers.
Ar. Jico Monte, the new District Director, will deliver his inaugural address after the induction and turning over of gavel and acceptance.
Induction of Chapter Officers
Outgoing Bacolod Chapter President Ar. Ubaldo F. Ramos, Jr., UAP will deliver a Valedictory Address and presentation of five (5) chapter officers will follow.
Ar. Armando Eugene C. De Guzman III FUAP, UAP National Executive Vice-President, will officiate the Charging of chapter officers, which will also be inducted by National President Ar. Rene Heray.
Within the activity, the Bacolod City Mayor Hon. Evelio R. Leonardia; Negros Occidental Governor Hon. Eugenio Jose V. Lacson, and Bacolod Lone District Congressman Hon. Greg G. Gasataya will be giving their video message, respectively.
Ar. Ryan T. Gela UAP, incoming UAP Negrense President, will give an inaugural address following the turnover of gavel and acceptance.
Ar Joseph Berjit UAP, Vice- President for Operations, UAP Negrense Chapter will handle the Presentation of Appreciation to major and minor sponsors.
To close the program, Ar. Rogely Gambito-Lora, UAP, will deliver closing remarks. UAP Negrense Chapter will host the PADAYON activity with Ar. Roger T. Aguilar UAP, Area C Representative – UAP Professional Development Council, as the Master of Ceremonies.
In a video message of Ar. Emiliano Varon Jr., he asks, “How do we respond and participate in some way or another. “Ar. Varon is an alumnus of the University of Sto. Tomas, Manila, a former Dean of School of Architecture and Fine Arts -La Consolacion College Bacolod. He was also a former President of UAP Bacolod and District Director of UAP District C-2. He is now settled in Arizona, United States of America. Below is the full text of the message:
“A pleasant good evening to everyone,
First, allow me to Congratulate the incoming officers and members of the different chapters of the UAP-Regional District C-2. At this point in time, when our country is facing a lot of troubles, sufferings, and hard times, Let us ask ourselves, How do we respond and participate in some way or another to cushion the impact of this crisis we are facing now?.
What have we learned so far during this pandemic, as well as during natural disasters like earthquakes, storms, volcanic eruptions, and fire? Often, we see the lack of isolation and temporary living units and other sanitary facilities that will alleviate the living conditions of the displaced victims. These are only some of our concerns where Architects, Designers, and Planners are good at.
Let this, therefore, be a challenge to all of us as we coped up with uncertainties thru sustainable strategies that, by these, we may be able to extend our helping hands to our brothers and sisters in need. So, let us then rise and move on with resilience, power, and vigor and meet this challenge head-on. Again congratulations, good luck, and God Bless us all!”
